Portraiture is more often than not a collaborative experience. Typically, Daniel Mark Duffy requests an introductory
meeting where artist and subject or subjects can get aquainted. The level of comfort and familiarity enhance the process and therefore
it is suggested the first meeting take place in the subject's home. The artist will travel worldwide.
Wardrobe, pose, lighting and background are carefully addressed, along with overall mood, tone and size of the painting.
A contract, including price and approximate delivery date will require signatures and a 50% nonrefundable deposit is due after the
first sitting.
A sketch or series of sketches are rendered for consideration and approval before starting the painting.
Depending on the level of complexity and the subject's availability, a photographic session or at least three sittings are scheduled.
Memorial portrait commisions are accepted.
On average a portrait will require 2 months to complete.
The artist is available to assist with framing.
Only the highest quality archival materials are utilized to insure your commissioned work of art will be preserved for centuries.
